About Paint the Future
We believe the seed for future innovation starts from childhood. Exciting new ideas begin from childhood and are limited only by our imagination. Creativity helps children perform in school and it is a life skill that can be cultivated and exercised from an early age.
Paint the Future is an annual art contest for students to imagine what the future will look like. Students are asked to use what they have learned in school and their daily life about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) and address real problems that we must solve in the future.
Their solutions are examined by real engineers and subject-matter experts, who comment on the creativity, feasibility, and potential problems of the idea.
2019 Theme: How Would You Recycle Water?
This year, we ask students to think about new ways they can use to collect, clean, and re-use water. The importance and destructive power of water has become an important issue for many people in the world. New ideas are needed if we want to live comfortably in the future.
How would humans living in a world with too much water, with too little water, or the combination of the two?
